THE ROLE OF TELMI'S ADVISERS
Telmi brings together legal advisers from all over the world. Our advisers undertake rigorous training and assessment before being assigned cases. Whilst we are committed to helping applicants to the best of our ability, Telmi and our advisers are not liable for the actions of the applicants that seek our support.
Telmi’s advisers supply information and support in relation to the Greek asylum procedure. They are not representing asylum seekers or taking on the role of a lawyer. They are simply providing them with the tools to help them best prepare for their asylum interview.
Currently, there are various NGOs based in the Aegean islands which rely on volunteer advisers. Pursuant to national laws, all NGOs have to be registered with the local authorities in Greece, which can cause practical difficulties when providing advice on the ground. Telmi will bypass these obstacles faced by NGOs on the ground, by simply providing a platform (in the form of a website) that is available for asylum seekers on their smartphones.
Telmi’s legal research team has concluded that there is no requirement to have a physical presence in Greece to provide general advice on seeking asylum

ASYLUM PROCEDURE
The advisers will be able to advise on how the asylum seeker can prepare for their asylum interview, what their rights are, what to expect and what to do after the interview. Telmi has studied all the rights and obligations of the asylum seekers in all circumstances to be able to inform them clearly and sufficiently.
Telmi advisers will not be able to help with Appeals.
